What is elko community hub?
My family and I love participating in fun community events, and if you’re here at this site, my guess is that you do too.
You look for fun events when friends and family are coming to town until you find fun activities that are open to the public. You say, ‘Let’s go do that!’
When your child comes home and says I want to learn to paint or join a sport, you want to find the right class or team for them.
But sometimes, tracking down exactly what’s happening in Elko or finding those classes or sporting events can take some serious investigation and research. There are websites, online calendars, too many Facebook groups to count, Facebook pages, and even media company sites. Add-in the community groups, service clubs, sports and youth activities. Next add in all the health, recovery and mental health groups, classes and workshop, and it's a bit much! Too much!!
As I spoke with friends and family, I realized I’m not the only one who has struggled to find things to do in Elko, so I decided to create this space, the Elko Community Hub.
Elko Community Hub is an affordable solution to centrally locate a broad calendar for all happenings in the Elko County area. It provides a single location to find information about personal, business, youth, health/fitness and mental health classes, meetings, sign-ups and events.
Based on your interests, you may sign up for email and SMS/Text updates from a large variety of event themes. There is also an option to add calendars directly to your Google/Apple calendars.
I hope that event hosts and the community alike will find the Elko Community Hub equally beneficial.
I am not an independent millionaire (I wish!) so there is a small fee to place your event in the Hub. This covers the cost of scheduling the events and the platforms fees.
There are built-in discounts if you have more than one event to post. Additionally, I am reaching out to local businesses to offer coupons to use on the website to help sponsor different calendar themes to help with the cost. As these come available, you will see their logo and coupon codes on FAQ & Coupon page.
