A cancer diagnosis changes everything in an instant. Suddenly, life is a blur of appointments, paperwork, and tough decisions.
The Elko Cancer Network (ECN) was started right here in Nevada to make sure no one in our community has to carry that weight by themselves.
Local Help, No Red Tape
We are a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit. We don’t have a corporate office or a paid staff; we are simply a group of locals dedicated to helping our neighbors. When you donate to ECN, your money doesn’t go toward "overhead"—it stays in Northeastern Nevada to help families pay their bills and get to their treatments.
Practical Support for Real Needs
We know that the "hidden costs" of cancer are often what break a budget. We step in to fill the gaps that insurance doesn't cover:
Getting There: We provide fuel cards, help with tire replacements, and assist with car repairs so you can get to your appointments safely.
Keeping the Lights On: We help cover rent, mortgages, and utility bills so you can focus on getting better instead of worrying about your home.
Travel Costs: If you have to leave town for surgery or specialized care, we help with lodging and meal costs.
Daily Essentials: From medication costs to groceries, we’re here to help ease the financial strain.
