Breaking the Cycle: Heart & Hope Offers Support for Elko Families. Domestic violence affects nearly half of all adults and 25% of youth in their lifetime, leaving lasting impacts on our community. The Heart and Hope Program, a 9-week intervention by the UNR Extension, is helping Elko families heal through education, peer support, and family-style meals.
